Cultural Trends, the journal that champions the need for better evidence-based analyses of the cultural sector, is looking for a Reviews Editor. Having published high-quality research on the cultural sector for over 15 volumes Cultural Trends is now looking to include a Review Section, to complement the original research articles published, in each issue. We are looking for someone to edit the section which will appear in each of the quarterly published issues per year. The position will involve approaching publishers of books, journals, research and policy documents for review copies; judging what would be of interest to readers; creating a database of potential reviewers; and commissioning and editing timely and relevant reviews. This is an exciting new opportunity for someone wanting to contribute to the running and development of a scholarly journal. The successful applicant, who will be supported by, and report to, the Editor and the Advisory Board, should be a self-starter, capable of working independently and should have a background in cultural policy research and an interest in evidence. The post has considerable potential for someone to establish a network within the cultural sector. The post would be particularly suitable for someone in the early stages of a research career.
