Main Purpose: To provide sound financial management systems and sound business principles by recording and summarising financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Facilitate the implementation of the organisation business plan; Monitoring the implementation of financial policies for the organization; developing policies in collaboration with management; Compiling financial information; Compiling financial reports; Coordinating all aspects of the annual operating budget and capital budget; Ensuring compliance with different statutory legislation; Ensure that the organization is managed on sound financial and business principles; Managing assets; Valid SA driver’s license.
Relevant postgraduate Accounting/Finance qualification with 3 - 5 years experience as a Finance Manager in a Public sector; Knowledge and understanding of PFMA and Treasury Regulations; Understanding of the NAC Act; Understanding of socio-political issues impacting on the public service in South Africa; Completed articles – advantageous; Pastel Accounting is essential; Advanced computer literacy essential
