Arts Council Malta has just launched a resource package, Right to Culture, aimed at strengthening cultural exchange, inclusion, accessibility and participation quality in cultural life.
As part of the €7 million investment in the creative and culture sectors for 2022 by Arts Council Malta, Minister for the National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government José Herrera and Arts Council Malta (ACM) Director Funding and Strategy Mary-Ann Cauchi unveiled the details about the Culture Heritage schemes which include 3 specific calls aimed at supporting local traditional culture.
Arts Council Malta’s draft Strategy 2025 has been published for an online public consultation and is inviting feedback and contributions from stakeholders and members of the public interested in the future of Malta’s cultural and creative ecology.

The Ministry for the National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government and the Ministry for Tourism and Consumer Protection have launched the Event Support Scheme, which is intended to continue to offer direct support to the creative sector with immediate effect.
Addressing a press conference for the launch of EUNIC Malta, Mr Albert Marshall, Executive Chair of Arts Council Malta, stated that apart from export, ‘another seminal element of how Council conceives Internationalisation also includes network-building and clustering. A network such as EUNIC is a prime platform for the execution of our work in this area.
