In order to gain an insight into artists fees in the Netherlands, Beeldende Kunst Nederland (BKNL), commissioned a survey of art institutes (museums and arts venues) and visual artists. The survey examined the fees for visual artists in exhibitions without a commercial aim and yielded the first informative overview of the current situation.

Fleur Pellerin, the French Minister of Culture and Communication, has named Yves Robert to lead the Centre National des Arts Plastiques (CNAP), replacing Richard Lagrange. Robert has spent his entire professional career working in contemporary art. The CNAP is a department in the Ministry of Culture and Communication involved with visual arts, design and arts professionals. It oversees the national archives of contemporary art.
