Investment in Art House Cinema

The Cultural Cinema Consortium in Ireland is seeking expressions of interest for capital investment in Art House Theatre. The Consortium intends to facilitate the development of art house cinema infrastructure in Ireland. The Consortium comprises the Arts Council, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Irish Film Board and Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission. The Arts Council on behalf of the Cultural Cinema Consortium invites initial Expressions of Interest from exhibitors/developers/ local consortia for the creation of a two/three screen dedicated cinema facilities in urban centres outside Dublin city centre, to commence building by end 2004. The Consortium also invites Expression of Interest from art house exhibitors for building refurbishment and technical equipment investment especially in relation to improvements to enhance physical access and audience facilities.
