Arts Council England is set to launch a Senior Dance Managers’ Fellowship Programme to enhance the professional development of experienced dance managers around the country. The fellowships are structured work-based programmes for people with a reasonable level of management experience, and will be offered at a senior level in order to respond to the future needs of leading middle scale dance companies. They will be hosted by four dance organisations; Rambert Dance Company, The Place, Dance Umbrella and Sadler’s Wells, who will offer each Fellow £35,000 bursary on a fixed term basis for the period February 2005 to March 2006. Each host organisation will cover core skills areas and design a tailored programme for participating fellows. Recruitment for the new initiative is due to start in early November, with the programme itself expected to begin early next year. For more information, CLICK HERE
