Danish Centre for Performing Arts is presenting its first international website, www.DanishPerformingArts.info. The site presents contemporary theatre, dance and performance from Denmark and will be launched this week to coincide with the first showcase for the performing arts in the country, P@rt Platform, Copenhagen October 6-7. DanishPerformingArts.info presents more than 60 companies and individual artists on its new site, most of whom are supported by the Committee for the Performing Arts, to signal that it intends to support increased international activities. The site gives an overview of the most relevant theatre, dance, new circus and performance companies in Denmark for international programmers, producers and collaborators, with up to date information on productions and touring as well as mapping out the festivals, venues and local agencies in Denmark for present and future international facilitators. Finally, the site includes some interesting introductory articles about the performing arts sector in Denmark as well as useful tips, including links to funding possibilities for international collaboration.
