Living Places Programme Manager

The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) is looking for a Living Places Programme Manager – Culture and Sustainable Communities
SALARY: £30,100 to £42,700 per annum
CURRENT LOCATION: Central London
The main purpose of the job is to facilitate the development, implementation and communication of a national action plan to deliver the Joint Agreement on Sustainable Communities. This Agreement is between the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG), Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the Cultural Partners Group comprising the MLA Partnership, Arts Council England, Sport England, English Heritage, CABE and Sport England.
The Programme Manager will be accountable to the Cultural Partners Group for delivery of the action plan. However, the post-holder will be managed by the Senior Policy Adviser (Local Government) at MLA which is the host agency and acts as Chair organisation of the partnership. 
Areas of responsibility include:

  • National leadership and coordination - support the partners in providing national leadership and co-ordination of the Joint Agreement
  • Policy Development - advise and support the partners and regional stakeholders in influencing and responding to policy development
  • Advocacy and Communication - represent and support the partners in promoting and communicating the Joint Agreement and the contribution of the cultural sector to sustainable communities.
