The National Arts Council of South Africa and IFACCA, co-hosts of the 4th World Summit on Arts and Culture in Joburg, South Africa, have confirmed that the dates for the Summit will be 22-25 September 2009. The Summit has been scheduled to coincide with the Arts Alive festival, an annual programme of cultural events hosted by the City of Johannesburg.
We encourage you to mark the dates of 22-25 September in your diaries now! Registration for the Summit will open for IFACCA members early in 2009.
The Summit will be co-hosted by the National Arts Council of South Africa and IFACCA, with the support of the South African Department of Arts and Culture, the Province of Gauteng (Department of Sport, Arts, and Recreation) and the City of Johannesburg (Directorate of Arts, Culture and Heritage and the Johannesburg Tourism Company).
