Villa Ocampo Meeting

With great results and deep ties between the directors of cultural administration educational programs of both countries (Argentina and Chile) the Villa Ocampo Meeting concluded in a privileged and warm environment provided by the Villa Ocampo House (www.villaocampo.org), administered by UNESCO. The Chilean delegation, formed by Professors Francisco Torres (Master and Virtual Diploma in Cultural Administration of Universidad de Chile), Ernesto Gómez (Universidad de Valparaíso) and Arturo Navarro, presented the complete panorama and the current perspectives of undergraduate and graduate programs in cultural administration of our country as well as the scope of the profession of cultural administrator in Chile.

The conclusions will be shortly published, which are being prepared by professor Jorge Cremonte. Arturo Navarro’s paper, entitled The Current State of the Profession of Cultural Administrator in Chile, can be read in its entirety, in Spanish, at http://arturo-navarro.blogspot.com/2008/09/el-encuentro-de-villa-ocampo.html
