Arts Sector Trusts and Foundations Survey & Symposium

Diversification of income from private investment sources is a key issue for the Arts, and in Northern Ireland there are particular opportunities for growth in accessing income from Charitable Trusts and Foundations. Several UK Trusts & Foundations are keen to engage more with the arts & cultural sector in Northern Ireland in order to build awareness of their areas of interest and their funding priorities now, and in the future.
Arts & Business Northern Ireland in partnership with the Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) and Arts Council of Northern Ireland (ACNI) are pleased to host a symposium on 30th April 2012 at The Mac, Belfast on funding from Trusts and Foundations. At the symposium attendees will not only hear directly from Trusts and Foundations but you will also be able to share experiences and network. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to pre-book a one-to-one surgery with each Trust in the afternoon session. Click here for booking and further details on the symposium.
Trusts & Foundations confirmed to attend so far include; Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, The Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Wolfson Foundation, BBC Children in Need, BBC Performing Arts Fund, Community Foundation for Northern Ireland and Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland.
In advance of the symposium, Arts & Business Northern Ireland is undertaking a benchmarking survey that will look in detail at the current income to the Northern Ireland cultural sector from Trusts & Foundations. We would urge as many arts and cultural organisations as possible to take the time to complete the survey to ensure that the results are representative and reflect current experiences of fundraising from Trusts and Foundations. Arts & Business Northern Ireland will also use information collected through the research to further inform and shape the symposium.
