Malou Jacob interviewed in ‘Arts Leaders Talk’ video series

IFACCA,
21 June 2012, Philippines

Ms Malou Jacob, previously Executive Director of the National Commission for Culture & the Arts in the Philippines, talks about her experiences as a playwright; what she asks of artists in her country; and her most memorable recent arts experience.

The video, part of the ‘Arts Leaders Talk’ series, was filmed during IFACCA’s CEO Leadership Seminar held immediately prior to the 5th World Summit on Arts and Culture in October 2011.

In the series, leaders from IFACCA member organisations from around the world were asked five questions: What have you learnt as a leader that you would like to share with others? What’s the biggest opportunity for your organisation in the near future? What’s the value of IFACCA to you and your organisation? What inspires you to work in the arts? and finally, What is a memorable art work that you have seen recently?

Previously released interviews include Sonny Williams, Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Development, Cook Islands, Alan Davey, CEO of Arts Council England, Quresh Ahmed, General Manager of Bomas of Kenya, Kathy Keele, CEO of the Australia Council, Venu Vasudevan, Joint Secretary (Department of Culture), Ministry of Culture India, and Luciano Cruz-Coke Carvallo, Ministro Presidente of the Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes, Chile.  A new video will be released with each edition of ACORNS.
