IFACCA is pleased to welcome the Ministry of Education and Culture, Cyprus, as a national member.
The European and International Affairs Office, established in 2009, serves as a contact point within the Ministry for the development, coordination and implementation of educational, cultural, youth and sports policy objectives of the Government of Cyprus, both at the bilateral and the multilateral level.
Cyprus is currently undertaking the Presidency of the Council of the European Union by Cyprus (1 July - 31 December 2012). Apart from the priorities in the field of Education, the Ministry of Education and Culture has planned to promote priorities in other areas of its competence. The thematic areas are as follows: In the area of Culture: Cultural governance and research for social cohesion and intercultural dialogue, especially within the framework of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation; In the area of Sport: Sport and Health as well as Evidence Based Sport Policy.
