Culture Ministry launches a ‘Points of Culture’ website

The Minister of Culture, Luis Peirano Falconi, launched the website ‘Points of Culture’, to facilitate communication and dissemination to the public.
He said there are more than 60 community organizations recognized as Points of Culture by the Directorate General for Cultural Industries and Arts, and an average of 200 cases under evaluation.

He noted that this program offers the possibility to remember that communities, all have this seed that Edmundo Murrugarra calls ‘munay’,  "the desire to create, to entertain, to recreate, which is what we usually call culture"

All the information regarding the purposes of this program are accessible through  puntosdecultura.pe be accessible to all including information on the organizations recognized as Points of Culture, as well as news and opportunities.
Also, news organizations may register and learn about the experiences of the "More Culture is more education, more health and more safety" through innovative communication resources, to engage in the program other ministries and agencies.

Three videos were shown as part of this campaign that present the work of the Points of Culture in different parts of the capital and the influence of arts such as theater, photography and music in favor of creating a society with more education, health and safety.
Minister Peirano was accompanied by the Minister of Education, Patricia Salas O'Brien, Vice Minister of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Industries, Rafael Varón Gabai, and Director of Arts and Cultural Access, Mariela Noriega Alegría.

"This is an extremely powerful tool for children, adolescents and young adults. They will learn more and more effectively what they are doing in their schools," said the Minister Salas O'Brien.
