Minister of Culture Roberto Ampuero met his successor Minister Claudia Barattini in Valparaíso

The meeting was held this morning at the premises of the Council of Culture, in Valparaiso, and allowed the preliminary transfer of information on the current situation in various areas of the CNCA.

The current Minister of Culture, Roberto Ampuero and his successor Minister Claudia Barattini met during about an hour and a half this morning at the premises of the Council of Culture in Valparais. .

After the meeting, Minister Ampuero stressed that "we have today given a warm welcome to Minister Claudia Barattini and we have began the transfer of information in order to make a transition in a fully republican way on 10 March. This was primarily a meeting between two people that love culture and are aware of the importance of democratic procedures, being an example for other countries.”
Meanwhile, the future Minister Claudia Barattini said that "it was a warm and exciting meeting because one begins to feel responsible for what comes after 11 March. The challenges in the cultural field are giant and therefore we will work with all the regions in the territory, expanding and democratizing access to culture throughout Chile. "

Furthermore, Barattini announced that "in the first 100 days we have basically three tasks: the new institutionalism, the implementation of a program of youth centers for the arts in all regions of the country, and the implementation of a program to restore abandoned monuments and historic buildings in five regions of the country.”
