Key duties and responsibilities in this role include:

- Manage the day-to-day running of the Vanuatu Cultural Centre.
- Manage the day-to-day financial running of the Cultural Centre on advice from the Vanuatu National Cultural Council [VNCC] and the Accountant.
- Oversee the development and ongoing implementation of the Cultural Centre’s Corporate   Plan, annual Work Plans and Annual Report.
- Responsible for Human Resource Development [HRD]; monitor and enhance Cultural Centre staff performance, attend to staff concerns and represent the staff to the Director and the VNCC.
- Coordinate Cultural Centre liaisons with Government, Non-Government Organizations [NGOs] and the private sector.
- Develop and acquire funding for Cultural Centre programs.
- Manage work program and projects of the Cultural Centre.
- Facilitate the development of culture and Cultural Centre policy.
- Assist the Director of the VNCC in coordinating cultural research programs.
- Ensure enforcement of Traditional Copyright practice.
- Assist in the organization of exhibitions, workshops, conferences and other Cultural Centre functions
- Perform other duties as required by the VNCC or the government of the day.

Qualifications, skills and Experience required:
- Has a related tertiary qualifications or any relevant degree.
- Minimum of over 5 years experience in a Senior Management position.
- Has a good background knowledge of Vanuatu Customs, Cultures and Traditions.
- Excellent communication skills including a high level of proficiency in oral and written English and Bislama [proficiency in French would also be desirable].
- Good analytical and research skills.
- Higher degree of integrity,

The salary scale for the above post is based on a Public Service starting scale of AS-3.5  Annual salary of Vt1. 234 800 plus other benefits.
