Pavle Goranovic, Minister of culture delivered newly established Award "Mirko Kovac" to historian and publicist Damir Markovina during the second "Days of Mirko Kovac" in Rovinj.

Other than Damir Markovina, who was awarded in Best Young Author's Work Category, the winners are also Vuk Rsumovic, in Script Category, Svetlana Slapsak in Essay Category and Oto Horvat in Novel Category.

The second "Days of Mirko Kovac" that were held in Rovinj from 1st to 3rd October were ended with the award ceremony in Rovinj Theater "Antonio Gandusio". Round tables and other main events gathered leading intellectuals from Slovenia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, who discussed this year's subject, the relation between politics and literature, through the heritage of Mirko Kovac, one of the most important writers from the region.

"Days of Mirko Kovac" are organized by "Mirko Kovac Association" and the organization was supported by the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro.
