During the period of 14th till 16th of December 2015 in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, took place the fourth edition of the International Cultural Forum, which brought together about nine thousand participants from over 40 countries.
This year edition of the Forum was dedicated to the celebration of 70 years of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Among those 36 ministers of Culture who were present at the event was also Acting Minister of Culture of The Republic of Moldova, Monica Babuc. During the event the official met her counterparts from several countries who were present at the forum, where they discussed about actual priorities and problems of development of the field of culture. Along with other government officials, Monica Babuc participated at the Forum's plenary sessions and other solemn celebrations organized by the leaders of the host country and UNESCO. Also, at the invitation of the organizers, The Minister of Culture assisted at several events of cultural institutions in St. Petersburg as well as the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the inclusion of heritage objects of the Russian Federation to UNESCO World Heritage List, the handover ceremony of Year Cinematography to Literature Year, the reopening of the State Circus from St. Petersburg, the opening of the interactive exhibition at the Museum of Ethnography etc.
The program included about 190 events that were held in more than 80 locations in St. Petersburg. The events were divided into four streams: business, formal, educational and social. In total were organized 12 sections, moderated by the well-known personalities from the Russian Federation culture field.
International Cultural Forum from St Petersburg is a unique international platform for annual meetings, opened dialogue and exchange of experience between experts from the domain of culture and cultural policies, government officials and businessmen. The Forum approaches issues of the modern world and the Russia cultural life.
