The launch of the "Harare, Creative City" project was celebrated on Thursday the 4th of May 2017.  Harare is the first of four cities to launch their inaugural Arterial African Creative Cities (AACC) programme, to be followed shortly by Pointe-Noire (Congo Brazzaville), Victoria (Mahé, Seychelles) and Nouakchott (Mauritania). Through this programme, Arterial Network is committed to facilitating cooperation and partnerships between local authorities and cultural actors in a way that contributes to the development and implementation of artistic and cultural policies, strategies and programmes in African cities.
