Cultural Strategy for the "Sustainable Development of Georgia for Sustainable Development" 2025 First Year Report

On 8 December, the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia Mikheil Giorgadze introduced the first year report of the 2025 cultural project "Creative Georgia - for Sustainable Development" in Rustaveli Theater "Ballroom Hall". The event was attended by representatives of the Government of Georgia, International Partner Organizations, Culture and Art. 

Presentation of the report includes the main achievements of the Ministry in 2017, in accordance with the following priority directions of the Cultural Strategy: development of culture and art education, awareness raising and internationalization; Development of creative industries, promotion of culture and internationalization; Development of infrastructure, promotion of access to society on cultural diversity and culture; Improve culture governance. 

Participants of the Eastern Partnership Culture and Creative Program - Tim Williams and Ragnar Silil participated in the presentation, with significant support for the goals and objectives set out in the Cultural Strategy for 2017.

The Government of Georgia approved the long-term document "Culture Strategy 2025" of the Georgian culture in 2016. 

It should be noted that the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia has developed this document with the involvement of the wider public and the inter-agency commission. 

For the first time in the history of Georgia was created a document that defines the vision, goals and objectives of the state, which will facilitate the gradual solution of the problems and challenges facing different fields of culture.
