In February 2017, the Cultural Council was commissioned to establish an office for museum-related tasks in Bodø. The move is a part of the Government's policy of spreading state jobs across the country. With the office, the Norwegian Cultural Council is established in three different places in the country: Bodø, Trondheim and Oslo.
