On Monday 1 July 2019, representatives from the Federation will participate in the panel session Culture in diplomacy and international exchange, during the Market of Argentine Creative Industries (MICA) conference. The session will be moderated by Andrés Gribnicow (Secretary of Culture of the Nation, Argentina) and panellists include: Simon Brault (Canada Council for the Arts), Anne Marie Jean (Conseil des arts et des lettres du Quebec, Canada), Marete Wester (Americans for the Arts, USA); Magdalena Moreno Mujica (Executive Director, IFACCA); and Lázaro Israel Rodríguez, Cultural Diplomacy Consultant for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Panama. The session will explore the challenges and opportunities of connecting and engaging beyond political and geographic borders; internationalisation, cross-cultural exchange and reciprocity; and why international collaboration in arts and culture is key for sustainability. We warmly encourage our friends from the international community who will attend MICA to join us for the session.
