The African Meeting for IYIL2019, organized by UNESCO in cooperation with the African Union Commission and African Academy of Languages (ACALAN), was organized on 30 and 31 July 2019 at the African Union Commission Headquarters in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia. The regional meeting received generous financial support by the Japanese Funds in Trust (JFIT).
