The Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sport has been given policy and structural responsibility to coordinate and manage the Cultural Sector in the country through the cultural policy of 1997. However, for more than twenty years now since the enactment of the Policy which, among other things, provides guidance and guidance for managing and developing the Culture sector in the Ministry has deemed it necessary to conduct a review of the Policy in the context of determining the success of its implementation, the existing challenges and suggestions for issues to be considered in the new policy to be developed.
Therefore, this review contains questions divided into two main parts: 1) Identify the successes and challenges that have arisen in the implementation of the 1997 Cultural Policy that are still in use 2) Identify the key factors to consider in the formulation of the new policy.
