La Ministra de Cultura, Carmen Inés Vásquez, anunció la destinación de una partida por $3.000 millones, como un mecanismo de apoyo a los museos; con esta medida se busca apoyarlos para que puedan atender la crisis generada por la pandemia del Coronavirus. El anuncio se hace en el marco de la celebración de este lunes 18 de mayo, Día Internacional de los Museos.
