The 48th IFACCA Board meeting was held last week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, hosted by JKKN. IFACCA made a presentation at the 52nd annual meeting of the ASEAN Committee of Culture and Information (COCI) also held in Malaysia during this time.
Ms Low Ngai Yuen has been appointed to the role of Programme Director for the 8th World Summit on Arts and Culture, a four day international event that will explore the theme MOBILE MINDS: Culture, Knowledge and Change.
On Tuesday 21 November members of the IFACCA Board will attend part of the 52nd Meeting of ASEAN Committee on Culture and Information (ASEAN-COCI) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Magdalena Moreno, Executive Director and Stephen Wainwright, Chair will present to delegates on the Federation and its members, and highlight the 8th World Summit on Arts and Culture which will take place in Kuala Lumpur in 2019. The meeting coincides with the 48th meeting of the IFACCA Board, during which the Programme Director for the 8th World Summit will be formally announced at a national press conference.
El próximo martes 21 de noviembre la Junta Directiva de la FICAAC asistirán a parte de la 52ª reunión del Comité de Cultura e Información de ASEAN (ASEAN-COCI) en Kuala Lumpur, Malasia. Magdalena Moreno, directora ejecutiva, y Stephen Wainwright, presidente de la Junta Directiva, harán una presentación sobre la Federación y pondrán de relieve la realización de la 8ª Cumbre Mundial de las Artes y la Cultura que tendrá lugar en Kuala Lumpur en marzo del 2019. La reunión coincide con la 48ª reunión de la Junta Directiva de la FICAAC, durante la que se anunciará formalmente el/la directora/a de Programación de la 8ª Cumbre Mundial en una rueda de prensa nacional.
MOBILE MINDS: Culture, Knowledge and Change will be the theme of the 8th World Summit on Arts and Culture to be held in Kuala Lumpur on 11-14 March 2019. The World Summit, to be co-hosted by IFACCA and the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN) of the Malaysian Ministry of Tourism and Culture, is expected to attract arts leaders and key policy makers from up to 80 countries. The theme is further elaborated below.
We are very pleased to welcome the GyeongGi Cultural Foundation (GGCF), South Korea, as an Affiliate Member of the Federation. The GGCF, as the nation's first and largest public cultural foundation, develops creative cultural policy. The foundation supports art activities, preserves historical and cultural heritage as well as manages cultural space and museums.
