This report analyses the activities and objectives of registered charities in England and Wales involved in ‘arts, culture, heritage or science’ (ACHS) with a particular focus on arts and culture. The analysis applies natural language processing and clustering techniques to the information that charities provide when they register. This allows for a more detailed understanding of what charities are doing, and what they are trying to achieve, than is available from existing classifications. The work produces an automatically-generated taxonomy of keywords used by ACHS charities.
