RA Ministry of Culture announces competition for vacant position of director of "Ministry of Cultural Experts Center" State Non-Profit Organization
In 2015, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation issued a report on diversity in art museums that reinforced what is obvious to anyone working in or affiliated with the industry: non-Hispanic white men dominate leadership positions, and there is a lack of diversity in religion, ability, sexual orientation, or geographic origin at the executive levels and in the board rooms. The survey catalyzed a major movement toward a more diversified art and museum world, and The Phillips Collection is taking part in that change.
The Ministry of Culture and Sports has published the data on the cultural employment of 2018 obtained from the exploitation of the Active Population Survey, official statistics belonging to the National Statistics Plan prepared by the National Institute of Statistics. These data reflect that 690.3 thousand people worked in one of the cultural industries in 2018, which represents 3.6% of total employment in Spain.
