The Cultural Council should contribute to both informing and engaging in debate about the role of art and culture and its importance for a democratic, inclusive and innovative society, says Renate Enemark Bergersen. In October she will take up the position of Director of the Cultural Council's new department for cultural analysis.
Reporting to the Director General, Strategy and Public Affairs, the incumbent is responsible for providing leadership and management direction for the development and delivery of a strategic research agenda that optimizes the Canada Council’s knowledge and data culture, addresses knowledge mobilization in the arts sector, demonstrates the value of the public investment in the arts, and supports the achievement of the Canada Council’s objectives and strategic plan.
The Arts Council requires project management services to deliver the pilot Creative Places [working title] programme in Tuam. Applications close 20 September 2019.

The Programme - The goal of the Social Development Programme (SDP) is to ‘advance gender equality and equal development outcomes in the Pacific region’. SDP works with governments, regional organisations, civil society and other SPC divisions to build capacity, collaboration, knowledge and practice around social development.
