The Ministry of Culture held a panel discussion on “Creative Europe projects in the context of ecology and art", which was jointly organized by the Creative Europe Desk of the Ministry of Culture and the NGO "Krug" from London.
Head of Desk for Creative Europe UK Christoph Jankowski discussed about the British experience of implementation of projects related to green culture with the support of the EU, with particular attention to networking opportunities and establishing long-term and sustainable partnerships in the European cultural context. As examples of the best British practice, he outlined in detail the projects Imagine2020, GALA and Weather Stations, as well as how these projects can be a useful model of preparation for the Montenegrin cultural workers.
Project coordinator of the NGO "Krug" from London, Amanda Rosso presented the project of the Green Culture Festival, which this organization organizes in Ada Bojana on an annual basis, in order to strengthen the synergy between culture and the environment and promoting the green agenda in Montenegro.
Local overview of cooperation between Montenegrin municipalities and civil society organizations on issues of ecology and sustainability presented Zenepa Lika, the vice President of the Municipality of Ulcinj, which supports the Green Culture Festival since its inception. Milica Perisic, General Secretary of the Foundation Petrovic Njegos, spoke about international experiences in intersectional networking to encourage awareness of the importance of treating environmental issues, and announced the next steps that the Foundation plans to take in this area.
Boris Abramovic, as a pan-European program coordinator for intercultural dialogue Anna Lindh, spoke of the Euro-Mediterranean area in the context of promoting green culture and funding of development projects through the funds of the organization.
