From a convening of dance professionals at the White Oak Plantation in Yulee, Florida in October of 1999, this report highlights topics, themes, and action plans that emerged in a forum focused on securing financial health for the field of dance: 'The group’s charge was to define the needs, determine the extent to which those needs are or are not being met, and discuss how unmet needs should be addressed. The discussion was a highly practical one, focusing on the challenges the participants face every day as they work to “make dance happen,” and on possible actions that could effect change on the levels of the individual, the organization, and the field.'
