Benchmarks in Collection Care for Museums, Archives and Libraries
Re:source,
01 January 2002, England
Stewardship is central to the development and use of collections, and lies at the foundation of Resource’s ambition to ensure sustainable access to our cultural heritage for all. In recognition of this Resource has developed this handbook, which sets out clear and realistic benchmarks for museum, archive and library collections. Benchmarks in Collection Care is a self-assessment checklist to help organisations in the sector identify how well they are caring for their collections, give an indication of where and what improvements might be needed, and provide a practical framework for measuring future progress.
