Considerable progress has been made since the IFACCA secretariat began operations in Sydney on 5 March 2001. The Federation's first year has seen the creation of a constitution and strategic plan and the welcoming of 23 countries as founding members. 2001 saw the beginnings of strong international networks, the website and ACORNS, and the staging of two successful board meetings, in Johannesburg and Dublin. With a number of exciting new projects due to come on line, 2002 promises to be just as busy and productive. IFACCA looks forward to the continuing enthusiastic support of the world's arts funding agencies in helping it share knowledge and create understanding to enrich artistic and cultural diversity.
