Are you a dynamic, creative individual who: - Recognises the international potential of arts from Wales? - Could work at Director level to promote the international showcasing of arts from Wales? - Is able to establish joint initiatives to promote and maintain the profile of arts from Wales in the UK and abroad? The Arts Council of Wales has received additional funding from the National Assembly to develop the work of Wales Arts International. This is a unique and well-established collaboration between the Arts Council of Wales and the British Council, whose mandate is to promote arts and artists from Wales internationally. ACW is looking to appoint a Director to lead and develop the work of Wales Arts International. Dynamic and motivated, you will possess a global vision of the arts coupled with a dedication to raising the profile of Wales and its cultural endeavours internationally; you will also have the skills and possibly the contacts to establish successful joint initiatives and partnerships internationally and across the UK. The post offers a competitive salary commensurate with the importance of the role, and also offers significant opportunity for regular international travel. Interview date: 26 March 2002 The Council works in both English and Welsh. For this post, knowledge of the Welsh language is desirable but not essential.
