SALARY Salary range for this exempt position is $68,194 to $102,312 annually, depending on qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package. THE POSITION The Executive Director reports directly to the Mayor and is confirmed by City Council. Lead and direct a staff of 29 professional and administrative personnel plus volunteers and interns. Manage a $3 million operating budget and a $2 million capital budget. Manage programs and services that provide funding, technical assistance, and advocacy for artists, organizations, neighborhood groups, educators, and students, as well as the commission of the City''s artworks through the One Percent for Art Program. Work with a 15 member voluntary citizen commission. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications include a baccalaureate degree in Arts Administration, Public or Business Administration or related field, and six years of experience directing professional business, governmental or non-profit arts organizations, with at least four years at the executive management level. Demonstrated experience working with a volunteer Board of Directors; ability to creatively partner with members of the arts community, public, private and non-profit sponsors; record of effective community outreach, public information and fund raising strategies; budget management experience, and record of managing a diverse workforce in an equitable manner.
