The US Arts Education Partnership, a national coalition of arts, education, business, philanthropic and government organisations, is about to release a new research compendium.

Critical Links: Learning in the Arts and Student Academic and Social Development, which highlights some 62 research studies examining the effects of arts education on students’ social and academic skills, is due to be released on 16 May.

Including more than 140 national organisations as members, the partnership was formed in 1995 and works to promote what it sees as ‘the essential role of the arts in the learning and development of every child and in the improvement of America’s schools.’

The compendium will be downloadable online at: http://www.aep-arts.org/
