The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC) has launched the first Hong Kong Arts Development Awards, giving formal recognition to individuals and organisations that have made an outstanding achievement to or contribution in the arts sector. Viewed as a milestone for arts development in Hong Kong, the awards recognise individuals, organisations and schools that have achieved or have made a continuous contribution to the development of the arts, and encourage young and promising arts practitioners to pursue their talent within the sector. The Arts Development Council is inviting interested Hong Kong residents and organisations to make nominations for the awards, by August 12. Forms may be downloaded from the website at www.hkadc.org.hk./archives/pressrelease/200206/1001/index_eng.html or are available by contacting the ADC's Administration Office, 11/F Soundwill Plaza, 38 Russell Street, Causeway Bay.
