A senior role at "The North of England's leading arts Festival" for an arts & events professional with experience of project management and leading teams to achieve goals. The Festival Manager is responsible for all aspects of event management, marketing, general office and systems management and the Education & Community Programme. Responsibilities
  • Managing the delivery of all Festival events, including liaison with venues, agents, artists and technical suppliers
  • Day to day management of Festival organisation
  • Working with the Festival Director on funding applications, organisational development, budgeting and programming where appropriate
  • Checking all event documentation (including FEU, visas, contracts and riders) and making applications on behalf of artists where appropriate
  • Sourcing and briefing designers and printers for all Festival

  • Managing print production, distribution and tracking
  • Managing communications with the Box Office
  • Manage Education & Community Programme
  • Recruitment of temporary Festival staff
  • Line management of Festival Administrator, Finance Officer and
  • temporary Festival staff Person Specification Essential:
  • Minimum of three years experience in a performing arts & event management environment
  • Experience of managing people
  • Ability to plan and organise
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Budget management skills
  • Ability to prioritise work for self and others
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Able to work to tight deadlines Desirable:
  • Knowledge of computerised box office systems
  • Experience of Microsoft Office programs
