The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Board of the Australia Council is set to host the second Honouring Words: International Indigenous Authors Celebration Tour starting July 30. Following the first International Indigenous Authors Celebration Tour in Canada in 2002, the Australian tour brings together highly respected and acclaimed Indigenous writers from Canada, New Zealand and Australia to promote and celebrate the development and current status of Indigenous writing and publishing internationally. Indigenous writers and story-tellers will share the historical, cultural, political and social aspects of their writing through readings, literary panels, radio interviews, school visits, book launches and a range of other events.
