A remodelling of the Spanish Cultural Ministerial team has occurred, with José Luis Cádiz Deleito appointed new sub-secretary. Born in Madrid, Deleito has an extensive background in law and administration, serving as general technical secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport since 2000. The restructure also saw Mariano Zabía and Engracia Hidalgo (formally the sub-secretary and general manager of Economic programming) re-appointed to positions as Government councillors in the Madrid Community Government.
