In a generous move, the German Chamber of Trade has offered its sister Chamber, Yamoussoukro in the Ivory Coast, a fully equipped trades centre to assist local craftspeople; valued at over US$1 million dollars. The centre will allow for the training of young apprentices and facilitate ongoing development for tradespeople, under the guiding hand of domestic masters. At the inauguration of the centre, Mr Kadjo Constantin (regional president of the Chamber of Trade of Yamoussoukro) painstakingly translated the personal thanks of attending tradespeople to visiting representatives, to stress the gratitude of his people.
