Fifteen French artists are discovering new ground thanks to a cultural exchange project with Senegalese artists. Based in the south of Senegal since the 20th of December, the Casammance practitioners have lived and worked alternately in Abéné, Ziguinchor, Bignona and Carabane, deeply immersed in African culture. The project incorporates several different forms of artistic expression, including the plastic arts, illustration, music and video. Organisers hope to produce various materials (a CD, DVD, writings, drawings, photos) that reflect original collaborations between the regions.
