Two one-day courses on relationships between arts organisations and their boards, and on the role of arts organisation chairs:
1) Managing your board Designed to ensure relationships between arts organisations and their boards are effective, productive and motivating, this one day training session is open to arts personnel responsible for reporting to a board, steering group or committee. Participants are asked to complete a pre-course questionnaire and detail issues they wish to tackle. The day's agenda is worked out according to the needs identified.
2) The roel of the chair This course looks in detail at the role of the chair. Taking a practical approach, it focuses on key aspects of the duties, including leading and motivating the Board, line management of the CEO, staff issues, dealing with conflict and crisis, Board development and succession planning.
