As part of the International Day of Cultural Diversity, important organizations gathered at UNESCO’s headquarters in Chile on Friday, May 30, 2008.
During the meeting promotional educational material about the contents of the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions was presented.
On this occasion, the Chilean Coalition for Cultural Diversity, represented by Mane Nett (President) and Paulo Slachevsky (Director, received a special prize that acknowledges the work it has been carrying out for the last seven years. It stressed “the patient and passionate deeds that the Coalition has accomplished in order to materialize UNESCO’s Convention in concrete actions, so that it moves energetically within Chile as well as in other countries”.
