IFACCA attends UNESCO meetings

IFACCA’s Executive Director, Sarah Gardner, recently attended the 3rd Ordinary Session of the Conference of Parties for the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, and met with the Assistant Director-General, Culture, Francesco Bandarin.

The Conference, which took place in Paris on 14-15 June, addressed several key issues relating to the 2005 Convention including its implementation and promotion, fundraising for the International Fund for Cultural Diversity and the submission of reports from Parties to the Convention. During the week, the Executive Director also had the opportunity to meet with Francesco Bandarin, Assistant Director-General for Culture, UNESCO, to discuss the development of WorldCP – an international database of cultural policies.
