IFACCA has great pleasure in launching ConnectCP Africa with 103 published profiles of cultural policy experts from 27 African countries.

The Arterial Network, African Arts Institute and Observatory of Cultural Policies in Africa (OCPA) have collaborated with IFACCA to create ConnectCP Africa, a sub-set of ConnectCP, the international who’s who in cultural policy, planning and research.

ConnectCP Africa, which enables visitors to search for cultural policy experts in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese, is expected to stimulate the interaction between African cultural policy experts, mobilize human resources in African cultural policy, and facilitate the flow of cultural policy information to and from Africa.

“By collaborating with ConnectCP, we hope to identify and nurture expertise in cultural policy development and management in Africa, as well as project African perspectives into international cultural discourses,” said Mike van Graan, Executive Director of the African Arts Institute.

ConnectCP, an initiative of IFACCA, is an international online database of cultural policy experts. It consists of profiles that outline experts’ experience, current interests, and other information relevant to their work in cultural policy. The international database currently contains over 900 profiles of experts from 112 countries.
