IFACCA welcomes a new affiliate member

IFACCA,
19 January 2012, Kenya

We are delighted to welcome the African Cultural Regeneration Institute (ACRI) as an affiliate member.

ACRI is an international NGO, based in Kenya, which aims to promote African cultural values that Africa can use for its development today as well as for sharing with the emerging global family. ACRI’s activities capture and document African culture through research that aims to conserve gathered information through print, film, audio and video, and, above all, making it a living heritage in the spirit of UNESCO Convention of 2003. ACRI works closely with the Kenyan Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, Kenya National Commission for UNESCO, and the Ministry of Tourism among other government institutions. ACRI is also an accredited NGO to UNESCO to advise on Culture in Africa and is particularly interested in research – the organisation is already carrying out projects in the context of 2003 and 2005 UNESCO Conventions.
