We are very pleased to welcome the Qatar Museums Authority as a new affiliate member.
The Qatar Museums Authority is a government body which aims to make Qatar a global leader in the world of museums, art and heritage. Initially created in 2005 to combine the disparate resources of all museums in the State, the QMA is now developing museums and cultural institutions that showcase collections, protect and preserve artefacts, and interpret historic sites and works of art, to the world. The QMA is working to transform the State of Qatar into a capital of culture and an arts education hub in the Middle East. Over the next decade, the family of museums will multiply, with many more institutions planned.
