Dr. Raheen Lays Foundation Stone For Construction of Tourism Institute Building

Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, Minister of Information and Culture laid the foundation stone of the tourism institute building in Pulicharkhi area, Kabul.
The institute covers 364 sqm close to power station of Pulicharkhi.
The total cost of the project according to Eng. Feruzi, head of the observation department of the institute is over two million US dollars which will be paid from the budget of the Ministry of Information and Culture. The building will be built in three stories which will have 15 rooms and other necessary attachments.
Dr. Raheen talking on the importance of tourism said that Afghanistan can attract tourists by utilizing of its historic and natural sceneries and can earn considerable income.
He added that on the basis of calculations in future Afghanistan can earn between five to seven billions US dollars from the tourism industry however regrettable factors like insecurity caused this industry to be weakened in Afghanistan.
He added that when tourism is revived in Afghanistan we need to have the youth to have professional skills in this sphere and this institute has been established to meet these purposes.
He also thanked the commander of the 012 unit who is cooperating with the Ministry in preserving the historical relics and monuments.
Nabi Farahi,  Deputy Minister of Information and Culture also spoke at the ceremony saying the Afghans hospitality, domestic products, it’s delicious fruits considerably impact tourism industry in this country.
The institute after completion will attract 12 grade students for two years and the curriculum of the institute will be prepared with the cooperation of Higher Education and Education Ministries.
