Ed Vaizey, the UKs Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, said all the right things to the 200-plus art trade delegates at the inaugural Art Business Conference in London on 4 September (organised by Louise Hamlin, The Art Newspapers head of sales). He addressed three areas close to the heart of the UKs dealers: the Artists Resale Right, the potential restrictions surrounding ivory sales and the redevelopment of Londons Cork Street and surrounding areas.
