Director of Creative Industries

Creative Scotland,
01 January 2015, Scotland

Creative Scotland are recruiting a Director of Creative Industries who will be responsible for the strategic overview and leadership for creative industries and establishing partnerships to drive forward the development, capacity building and growth of the creative industries.

Creative Scotland is the national body which supports the development of arts, screen and creative industries across all parts of Scotland. We enable people and organisations in Scotland to work in and experience the arts and creative sectors. We do this by helping others to create culture through developing great ideas and bringing them to life.

In April 2014 we published our Strategic Plan, Unlocking Potential Embracing Ambition, which presents a shared vision for the arts, screen and creative industries for the next 10 years. To help deliver this plan we are recruiting a Director of Creative Industries who will be responsible for the strategic overview and leadership for creative industries and establishing partnerships to drive forward the development, capacity building and growth of the creative industries.

As part of a ground-breaking partnership between Creative Scotland and the Scottish Funding Council (SFC), the role of Director of Creative Industries will work jointly with the two organisations to deliver a step-change in the impact of the creative industries on Scotland’s economy and society through enhanced interaction with Scotland’s higher education institutions.

If you have the passion and experience to ensure creative industries are confident, connected and thriving in Scotland then we’d like to speak to you.

To have a confidential conversation, please contact our recruitment partner Badenoch & Clark on +44 (0) 141 220 6460 or e-mail [email protected].

Applications should arrive no later than midnight on Sunday 8 February 2015.
